When my spouse comes home and is hungry but only mildly, I will quite often give him soup broth, like chicken or beef with an egg cracked in it. Well tonight I started the usual bit of chicken soup and as an experiment I added about 1/3 a cup of tomato sauce (I use Hunts tomato sauce, 3 carbs per 1/4 cup) to about six or seven cups of chicken broth. The result was amazingly tasty! I also added some dashes of red pepper, but that's because I'm evil.
I think next time I'm going to add some chopped low carb veggies and cubed chicken to the concoction. But I just had to share. It was good stuff!
